Brief Update on License Server Change

Greetings all!

This will be brief. But I wanted to give everyone a quick update.

The process for creating keys is successful. We have generated keys for everyone who has opted-in to emails (such as this newsletter). However...

We're going to do it again. Because of the fact that some folks who are recurring customers user different email addresses for their purchases, there's some duplication in the system. I don't want to send two keys to the same person. So I'm going through the data to eliminate the duplication.

I'm guessing we're a couple days away from running the process again.

Here's some things worth knowing about this process (some of which, we're learning as we get closer to sending the keys out):

• In most cases, you will get your new key to the email address associated with your most recent purchase. About 99% of the time, that's probably this email address. But it's possible that you have one email address for your purchase and another for this newsletter. But if you opted-in to emails - and nearly everyone did - you'll get the new key via email.
• All customers are getting a new key and they will be entitled to run the 6.6 release at no charge. It's free. We want everyone who has purchased Ham Radio Deluxe in the past to be able to run it in the future.
• Even if you didn't opt-in to emails, we still want you to be able to run Ham Radio Deluxe in the future. If you don't get a key, just contact us. In most cases, we can still look up one of your purchases. We can look up your call and verify your purchase. We can create a key for you. As long as it's technically feasible, all customers will be kept whole.
